Because of the widespread use of smartphones, users now have access to a wide range of programs that are similar to those found on desktop computers. Users’ location information is used by smartphone applications that utilise augmented reality (AR) technology. Improved usability and user convenience should be developed as AR applications will necessitate new assessment methodologies. The goal of this study is to define usability criteria for developing and evaluating smartphone applications that use augmented reality technology.
