There is no doubt that Snap is one of the pioneers of Metaverse related technologies. Few days ago, they shared this video during the Fourth Annual Snap Partner Summit. The video shows great insights about the Metaverse’s future, regardless of the marketing considerations, and it can be used to spark a debate about the future of Human-Computer Interaction in the Metaverse.

Besides that, I should note that the title of this video worths thinking. How do we communicate our intentions? We mostly use our voice, drawing and gestures to express our ideas. With extended reality technology, users are able to express themselves in unlimited spaces. Therefore, we should rethink our interaction designs. For example, I suggest that we design emojis for 3D environments in a different way. And we need to include more topics in this new system. Furthermore, companies should include reusable 3D files in their marketing materials. Publishers should provide 3D models along with wallpapers when a new movie is released.
